INYON was born in 2021 and is the result of a long road that has brought me right here.
It's funny how life takes you down a path and you simply have to take the best of it. Each step I have taken has led me to the next and that is why INYON exists. If I had not worked as a lawyer, after graduating in Law and Business Administration, I would never have known about the probono programs that the firm had and I would not have worked with so many social organisations that opened my eyes to a new world, which made me rethink where I was and where I wanted to be.
I looked for the best of both worlds, private enterprise - where I came from - and social organisations. Corporate Social Responsibility was the answer.
That's how I started, first in London, and then in Madrid, as head of the Corporate Partnership area in an international children's aid organization. I learned that CSR cannot be something alien to the world, it cannot be an isolated area within a company. Nothing works that way.
I have worked with many companies, foundations and organisations, creating value in each of their investments, creating campaigns with soul, the kind that bring real benefit, the kind that leave a mark on the lives of people and communities. And magic happens every time. Just when the company realises that the benefit is mutual, that it has not only helped the world a little bit, but that the company itself is a better version. When the whole company is aligned with a purpose, everything changes. And I want to help you discover it. That's why I couldn't be prouder of this step, of INYON.
And of course, we invest 100% of our profits in social causes.
Our planet is a very precious place, and so are all its inhabitants. We are constantly receiving signals that something is wrong.
If the world is not doing well, neither are we, our children and our societies. That is why it is time for another way of doing business.
A way of doing business that is not sustainable is not feasible because we cannot continue consuming resources indiscriminately, we cannot continue consenting suffering, both human and animal, we cannot continue allowing more victims of gender-based violence, or more victims of armed conflicts. We do not want to live in societies that do not admit people because they come from the other side of the world, that create barriers instead of breaking them down.
We cannot live knowing that millions of people in the world are affected by something as preventable as hunger. We cannot continue condoning behaviour that destroys the most important thing, which is the childhood of our youngest generations.
There is a lot of work. But at INYON we believe in people. We believe that if we work together, the result is multiplied. It is the virtuous circle.
